To me it isn't slow like other people have complained. It has Samsung 800 Mhz ARM processor. Browses very nice. Wifi also not a problem for me. I have two story townhouse and it works great upstairs. A wireless network is only as good as it's access point. I use a D-link 625 which is the best router that I have ever owned. If the signal isn't good, this thing will crawl when browsing. Something not so noticeable with my netbook when just bringing up one page.

OK, so far I am loving this Tablet.
WARNING: Initially, out of the box, the calibration may be a little bit off, but then you run the HP Software Update and it installs a Wacom Driver that greatly improves tip to cursor calibration.
Most of my college textbooks offer an eText (browser version of the book). Accessing them through this laptop is a charm! (a) I don't have to carry three heavy hardcover books. (b) I can easy use Snipping Tool to cut relevant parts of the text books (such as Practice Exercises, Tables, Graphs) and paste them on my notes (I am taking notes for classes on OneNote - Journal is ok, but Microsoft OneNote is much better) where I can then write over them, make annotations. (c) I am able to focus more on my studies as I am engaged in taking notes while reading (all on the same device).

I've had it for a couple of weeks now and I take it everywhere as it is more portable than my 10" acer which I absolutely love and use for work, playing games and downloading movies and music. The VL I will be using primarily for internet browsing, emails, watching movies and reading books but I have created word docs and excel spreadsheets as I have the full Documents to go app. I've gotten almost 8hrs of battery life on one use. It's pretty fast, hdmi works, picture quality is good, skype and netflix work. Btw get skype 2.5 until skype finds a fix for the ics issue. I first bought another version of this tablet. I really liked it, but had to return it because it had some problems with the screen flashing in a weird way/freezing (a couple times only), but more importantly the HDMI feature that was one of my requirements did not work. (see my detailed review at that page). I believe the HDMI port was defective which is why the HDMI option didn't even show up in the Settings menu. On getting a replacement, I decided to buy this unit instead because for a few dollars LESS it has 8gb internal space (instead of 4gb) and this processor is faster (the A10 instead of A9).

Unfortunately, this tablet has the same problem with the HDMI port not working. So, I will return this one & try for the same unit again. I purchased three of the tablets for my grandkids and was impressed with all that it could do as compared to my Nook tablet. The only reason I don't give five stars is because there is a lack of instructions. I consider myself in the normal range as far as computer knowledge goes and can easily learn with some direction. I wanted to set the tablets up to be able to borrow from the public library but couldn't get that part to work yet. However, the App marketplace had a nice App for free books that my granddaughter was quite pleased with. Overall, I am quite pleased, too because it does just about what my Nook tablet does, although not quite as smooth, but it does the job and is a great beginner tablet at a fraction of the cost.

I got this a week ago and have been playing with it nonstop since.

There are three things you need to be aware of when purchasing this:

1) The screen is even smaller than on most netbooks because of the flip design. The versatility more than makes up for it though.

2) The battery is not removable and is good for about 3 hours.

3) Windows 7 Home Premium only likes to view drives on other machines running Windows 7. My home PC was running Vista. It could look at and access the drives on the Duo; but the Dou will only look at drives in it's Homegroup. Only Windows 7 supports homegroups. I upgraded my desktop to Windows 7 Home Premium and now they network amazingly well. Setup was a snap.

I have thick fingers, but I haven't found that I need to use the stylus (bought separately) with it. The keyboard is well laid out. The touch screen took a little getting used to. Voice recognition works very well in a quiet environment..........read more

Why? For one, because it is the right size. I can put it in my purse and carry it about with me. More reasons - it has spectacular graphics - true 1080p HD and it supports flash. It has a camera and an HD camcorder. It has a solid feel in your hands, the touch screen is very responsive and intuitive. After playing with it for a short span of time I now zoom from app to app. One of the (many) things I find amazing is that the tablet does not lag while running many concurrent apps - I'm not talking small apps, but processor intensive ones. The battery life is pretty good too - I've played for over 10 hours before I had to recharge it. The screen is spectacular - I said that already didn't I?

I was afraid they may not sell it to me since it was not supposed to be released until the 15th but they did. I have thoroughly researched and tested all of the available tablets at Best Buy which include the I-Pad 2, Galaxy Tab, Motorola Xoom, Ausus Transformer, Transformer Prime, Sony S, Toshiba Thrive and the Motorola Xoom Family edition.

I must say that I wish the Prime did not have all of the issues that it has especially the wi-fi signal dropping while bluetooth is connected. I tested two different floor models of the Prime and was able to replicate intermittent signal drops of the wi-fi signal. Proof of this was not only evident in the signal icon but also while watching you tube videos. At one of the stores I even switched from a wi-fi router to an AT&T mobile hotspot.
